Too many young people and adult learners move through education without the skills, confidence or clarity to take their next step. Too many face barriers that careers education alone hasn't always been equipped to address.

CareerSculpt was created to change that.

We saw too often in careers and employability support — well-intentioned provision that didn't always translate into real confidence, informed decisions or meaningful progression. Provision that didn't always reach the young people who needed it most. Provision that didn't always reflect the complexity of the barriers people face.

CareerSculpt exists to do things differently.

About Our Founder

CareerSculpt was founded by Aysha Smith — a careers and employability professional with decades of experience spanning frontline ETE delivery, higher education and senior strategic leadership.

Aysha began her career working directly with young people and adults facing significant barriers into education, training and employment, across local authority, probation, health and social care and welfare to work settings. She went on to build a distinguished career in higher education, progressing to Associate Director level at Coventry University, leading careers and employability services across multiple campuses, managing a £1.6m DfE funded programme and contributing to a successful Ofsted Good outcome.

That breadth of experience, frontline and strategic, grassroots and institutional is what makes CareerSculpt different. CareerSculpt was built on genuine knowledge of the people it serves, not just the systems around them.

What We Believe

CareerSculpt was created to address a gap we see too often in careers and employability support, well-intentioned provision that doesn't always translate into real confidence, informed decisions or meaningful progression.

We believe:

Every young person and adult learner deserves access to high quality careers education regardless of their background, ability or starting point
Careers guidance should be practical, inclusive and rooted in real-world understanding
The best outcomes happen when education, employers and communities work together
Impact should be measurable, honest and meaningful — not just a tick box exercise

Our Approach

Everything we deliver is built around four core principles:

Inclusive We recognise that young people and adult learners start from different places and face different barriers. Our support is tailored, accessible and paced appropriately, ensuring no one is left behind.

Practical We focus on skills, behaviours and decision-making that young people and adult learners can apply immediately in education, work and life.

Interactive & Engaging All sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging — using discussion, practical activities and real-world scenarios to bring careers education to life and keep young people and adult learners actively involved throughout.

Outcomes-Focused All interventions are designed with progression in mind, supported by clear impact reporting aligned to sector expectations and partner priorities.

How We Work

CareerSculpt operates across education, adult learning and employer engagement, delivering support that can stand alone or complement existing provision.

Our work includes targeted workshops, structured programmes and strategic advisory support, always shaped by the needs of young people and the realities of the setting.

We work in partnership with schools, colleges, adult education providers, community organisations and employers, bringing a joined-up, holistic approach to careers and employability that reflects the complexity of the young people and adults we serve.
